The word ‘Samarth’ means empowered (or capable) and ‘Satguru’ is one who is a true Guru. ‘Samarth Satguru’ is a title conferred on a divinely empowered Guru who has the ability to guide an initiated disciple along the spiritual path that ultimately leads to a realization of the Self. Such a Guru shows the most direct and practical way to realize the Divine without making it necessary for disciples to visit any place of worship or to indulge in any rites, rituals and ritualistic practices or participate in meaningless debates and sermons on spirituality and realization of God. The Samarth Satguru places no restrictions on seekers. Like the sun, the Samarth Satguru shines for the whole universe and does not discriminate among seekers nor does he judge them on the basis of their past or current personality, religion, gender, race, sexual preference or status in society. The divine power of a Samarth Satguru, such as Guru Siyag, transcends the limits of time and space. Any person anywhere in the world can receive Guru Siyag’s blessings and experience transformation by sincerely practicing Guru Siyag’s Yoga (GSY) mantra-meditation.
The Guru is also not just the physical being we see external. He is within all of us. Guru Siyag explains this, “Who is a Guru? A Guru is not just the individual you see in a mortal body. His mortal body will wither and meet its end one day. But the Guru (is the divine force which) never dies; he is eternal and ageless. The Guru grows within (the inner depths of the seeker’s consciousness). In our yogic science, time and space have no value. You are within me; and I am within you. Whenever you remember me, you will find me within you. If a Guru is a genuine one, he is omnipresent (he is present simultaneously everywhere; he is not constrained by the limits of time and space).
“When you are listening to me here you are absorbing my energy. My divine conscious energy is being emitted at every moment through my voice, my eyes and every pore of my being. The energy will be emitted till this body exists. Whether you are illiterate, are far away or are in severe pain, and if you pray to me, “Please help me,” this prayer is strong and sufficient enough to reach me. Genuflecting, supplicating or plying me with gifts – this is not going to help.”
