- GSY practitioners can follow a lifestyle of their choice. GSY does not require practitioners to change their lifestyle in anyway.
- GSY does not impose any dietary restrictions.
- Guru Siyag has not laid out any moral code-of-conduct that the disciple must abide by. Such a system, according to him, is unnecessary. Guru Siyag says that when disciples do the practice earnestly, the Guru within them begins to offer them divine guidance that promotes their spiritual evolution.
- The practice of GSY does not involve rituals, ritualistic practices, customs and offerings (coconuts, incense, flowers etc).
- A seeker in any part of the world can experience deep meditation by simply meditating on Guru Siyag’s photograph.
- Guru Siyag does not insist on seekers meeting him in person for initiation.
- Initiation into GSY via video/audio CD, TV telecast or internet video is as effective as in person initiation.
- If a seeker is unable for some reason (practitioner is a young child or is unconscious or mentally disabled) to chant Guru Siyag’s mantra and do the meditation, any other initiated close relative or friend can chant and do the practice on his behalf.
- Guru Siyag does not offer courses or conduct classes.
- GSY is completely free of cost
- No registration is required for GSY.
- Guru Siyag does not ask for gifts in cash or kind from seekers for GSY initiation.
- Guru Siyag does not restrict his disciples from following any other Gurus or practices after being initiated.
- Guru Siyag does not give religious sermons. He only explains the philosophy of GSY.
- Guru Siyag does not sell / offer medicine, herbs or products of any kind.
- Seekers belonging to any race, religion, nationality, caste, creed or gender are welcome into the GSY fold.
